Welcome to my website. I hope you explore, wonder a bit and enjoy. On this homepage you’ll find mla few of most recent drawings, and a selection of some of my favorite drawings and/or acrostic musings.
I encourage you to check out the Photography tab, it shows a bit of the creatures, landscapes and wanderings that influence my drawing.
The Graphic Booklet tab includes four efforts to put pictures together in booklets. Since they were hand printed and bound, there aren’t many copies floating around. There is also a large gallery of Unsorted Pictures, that has most of the drawings from recent to old.
Hellos, comments or inquiries - I would love to hear from you - elliott.c.robinson@gmail.com. Also, feel free to share any of my pictures or content.
Thanks for visiting,
Elliott

Will I Tame My Wendigo - new Graphic Booklet
(30 drawings)
Will I Tame My Wendigo
——————————————————————
Wanting to order, control and predict
In the innocence of once upon a time
Like a dream to stand on top of the world
Looking back at memories of what could
have been
I forgot
Tamed the dragon, walked it on a leash
And what of the California grizzly that walks
no more
Manifest a destiny over a land that was free
Exceptional to the mirror, mirror on the wall
My way
Yours too
We became the creatures we fear most
Engineering ulcers of concrete and steel bleeding
light and haze into sky
Netting dreams in a binary miasma of desire and
fear
Dazzled in shock by the awe of destruction
In myopia of opportunism
Growing ever more synthetic
Over the diversity of nature’s unfolding creation
I paused
Not knowing
To walk on two feet and clambering on all four
In the silence of a desert morn and chaos of a
mountain storm
Melting into memories carved into landscapes of
earth
Enrapt in wonder by relics of life, death and rebirth
I remembered
With faith and patterns of daybreak and dust…and
Entangled with the souls of all that grows or fades
into oceans of time
Plainly tasting, seeing, feeling, smelling, hearing and
knowing
That the world is a wild place

Botany (I’d Germinate)
——————————————————————
If I were a seed slumbering
in the dawn of Spring
‘neath soil fertile in flavors
shared with worms
Dreaming of radiance, unseen,
from above
Growing restless, wet in my bed
with the urge of seasons.
Ecstatic I’d writhe, sprouting with
an awakening of roots
Reaching out to taste the liquid
promise of sky
Made by water falling into ground
from a journey over clouds.
I’d follow its path through crannies of
earth with thirst for life,
Nourishing myself on moisture infused
with messages from its travels.
And, I’d shoot out on an adventure of
transformation to touch the light,
Taking the fluid of its insight and lifting
it back up to breathe into air
Exchanging oxygen for carbon and making
flowers in patterns of rebirth.

I dreamt of a heyókȟa
——————————————————————
hallowed in the eye of a storm
enwombed by nature’s beat
you and I dance in the deluge
óver currents ours alone
keeping peace with thunder’s clap
ȟailing its lightening spark
as water flows to feed all that grows.
and in that space of a dream
i let go of all things preconceived
with the abandon of a human wild
in the cold, in the rain, in the snow
čharmed by the wind
howling songs of our travels
around the sun -
which will shine -
as the ground suckles moisture
held in billows of cloud
and life, unconditional in its countenance
ŋumb to the judgements of any
beams in the grace of its indifference
letting rhythms of time come and go
even as we embrace when the sky turns blue

By the Rocky Shore
——————————————————————
If I could live just a moment brief
As a wave rolling through an ocean deep
Maybe I would relish the touch of wind
Shaping my crest as it blends into sky
Or be tickled by reefs and rocks
Making me crash and burst into spray
Even as the call of the moon feeds my swell
To join with others of my kind
Holding forth in tides.
In turn, maybe that wave could be me
Nestled on a perch above the rocky shore
Giving witness to the power of its form.
[I AM SOMETHING]
Automation
——————————————————————
At the wave of my hand
Using less effort than once I knew how
To open a door, make a meal, drive…
Or see the world in my palm
Making things happen without even trying
As I fall into convenience I don’t really need
Taking another step away from touch
In a myopia of efficiency
Only to carry on replacing my wits with theirs
No longer knowing how.
[AUTOMATION]
Floating in a fog of could be
while beasties dance around
a fire between reality and dreams
Life, Still
Turbulence
——————————————————————
Tumbling with time
Under currents disturbed
Roiling the mainstream and
Breaching the flow.
United only in the chaos of swirls
Laboring to reset the course.
Energized by change
Navigating boundaries, pressure and friction,
Churning in chaos all the while.
Even as a mainstream returns.

Remembering Childhood at Coventry Yard
——————————————————————
If I were an eddy spinning in a whirl
Shimmering with reflection
Lucent at the bounds of my momentum
I'd live between inconsistencies in flow
Playing in the current that surrounds
Induced by slow that's where I'll go
Needing that break to let me grow
Til gravity's call lures me back
Out of fear that I was missing out
And round and round I'll go
Spinning with that whirl that brought me here
Through the stream that holds my form
Really made of the same stuff as me
Except the turbulence giving me shape
And I'll roll in superpositions as I drift
Melting in the stream as my energy fades
away

Holding some rock
It’s face burnished by time,
So indifferent
To my cares
Or perceptions.
Rolling like a stone
Yearning for gravity’s embrace.

Patterns Man Patterns
——————————————————————
Perhaps all there is are beats
A cacophony of frequencies giving shape
to naught
Tuned in pitches with a range deeper
than sky
That hum harmonies of moments all
Entwined in a dance of interference
pulsing its way
Rippling superpositions of galaxies, stars,
planets, atoms and you
Nadirs and zeniths amplified in a concert
of probability
Sung out from everything there is
Making an illusion of boundaries
on each edge of perception
As rhythms resonate on courses unbound
None knowing the tremolos of all together
Patterns take shape in each combination
of pitch
And in that space of harmonics shared
The window of perception opens with
resonance of tone
Taking a reflection of life travelling
along the pulse of beats
Each rhythm combining with others
passing through
Reverberating together with the ripple
that is you
Notes playing through a symphony of space
and time and whatever else
may be
So perhaps all there is are beats

We Pelican
——————————————————————
Let us put on
Our pelican heads
And dance by the surf
Neath clouds and sun
Maybe tangle our beaks
Eager in contours of nature
And wiggle with the sea
Happily flapping featherless arms
Emboldened in ocean spray
And we can carry on free
Defying tethers that bind our way

I and I-Beast Remembering a Dream
——————————————————————
Oh the dreams I have
For whatever it could be
That would let us see
Everything as maybe it would be
Neath a star blazing in indifference
Where walls fade into sky
Eclipsed by rhythms of coexistence
Flowing in the breath
Of all that surrounds us
Requited in life thats shared
Gracefully with all that abounds
Embodied in we, they, it, those and you
To carry on with epochs of time

Dark Matter
——————————————————————
Doped in the fog of perception
I wonder
And wander through a place that
takes no space,
Reflecting all that’s been along filaments
and folds fitting in my skin.
Kinetics and objects beyond knowing nothing
of the shimmer therein.
‘Magining with no tether to now, what may be
or could have been.
As shadows of all that’s shaped my form flicker
without mass or motion.
Tumbling along apparent…disregarding any
boundaries of here
‘Til in a sea of probability Outside and Inside
meet with presence like will.
Emerging as actions touching what can
be observed,
Responding to what’s observable.

——————————————————————
Patterns in the building blocks of being
Rock my soul through the cradle of perception
As the current of now carries me along
In the river of time everlasting
Surrounded by the vastness
Encompassed by all and beyond.
Born of all that has been I am
Even as I wither in all that will be,
Tucked in the skin I call me
On the edge of all that’s within.
There inside that space
held together with grace
Everything has its place.
Veins, organs, bones and nerves
Each holding cells in membranes their own
Raveled together in patterns of evermore
Yet made of atoms joined as molecules.
Swirling in spaces vast as tiny can be
Muons and electrons, bosons and quarks
All surely made of things smaller still
Limited in scale only by never reaching null.
Let it be with reverence, then,
to hold all that is small.
[PRAISE BE TO THE VERY SMALL]
Lights Flashing On a Screen
——————————————————————
Sitting still more or less
As crystals grow electric under glass
Letting colors unmoved emulate life unlived
In vicarious abandon to experience untouched -
Entertaining or educating or passing away time.
Nothing really but lights on a screen
Capturing meaning behind captive eyes.
Even as tides come and go.

Small World We Live In
——————————————————————
Scales of perception
Make me wonder
As I sit on a rock by the side of the sea
(Like perhaps a germ would be
Lolling about on the surface of me.)
Well, now think of a ripple ‘twixt particle
and wave
On the skin of an electron buzzing away
Rapidly fading in the hum of its life
Looking out to the sky from its lepton that flies
Doing orbits around quarks
all reacting together.
With molecules to far and big ever to see
Each ripple so small it could never know me.
Likewise I look past the horizon of earth
In the bright light of the sun over my life so brief
Vistas at night filled with constellations
and stars
Even galaxies afar unfathomably large.
I wonder then if like the ripple and me
Next on the scale what else could be.
[SMALL WORLD WE LIVE IN]
Let it be Beautiful
——————————————————————
Oh time
How you carry me along
Leaving only stories that fade
Embodying all that has been
To shape the texture of what is
In memories carving the landscape
That splashes into now
Blurred with each moment between
Echoing across eternities
Bound in space
Entangled in densities and proportions
And hued with things like color and sound
Unfathomably scaled from nothing to all
Trued with every presence filling the horizon
and beyond
In every angle radiating all around
Flowing to the cadence of motion and time
Untetherable from all that has been
and is yet to come.
Let it beautiful as can be.
[OH LET IT BE BEAUTIFUL]
Stepping Out
——————————————————————
So how would it be to step out of me
To overflow the skin that seems to hold me in
Extending my senses over wisps of wind
that surround us
Perceiving no longer as me
but as the atmosphere would see
Pulsing from troposphere to exosphere
in concert with clouds and hemispheres
Intersecting with space to relish perspective
from a new place
Nuzzled beside a moon that makes tides
Going along an orbit with planets
and comets that are sunlit.
Oh just to feel with an essence thats real
Under breezes that run course along ridges
and shores
The dreams and desires of that atmosphere
under whose skin I adhere.
[STEPPING OUT]
Nectar for Pollen
——————————————————————
How would it be
To trade for a day
The essence of a flower
Blossoming in a field
For the identity
I call my own?
I suppose
I’d shine out to the sky
From the end of my stem
Calling out to bees and bugs
In hopes that for nectar
Pollen they might trade
As I waft in the vapors of air
Wilting with the passage of time.
And the flower would be me
Just ‘til the next morn.

To Be Powerful Like Water
——————————————————————
To be powerful
Like water
Falling from clouds
Caressing a mountain ridge
Shimmering in crystals
Resting on slopes
That melt in the warmth
Of a star shining above
Flowing down
Through creeks and valleys
Over falls
Eddying and rushing
Gathering
In rivers and lakes
On the way
To seas that breathe
In the rhythm of tides
For a planet blue…
Or to a cup
Pouring through lips
Bringing life
To all I love
Without a care
